apt-setup-udeb software package provides Configure apt, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install apt-setup-udeb
apt-setup-udeb is installed in your system.
Make ensure the apt-setup-udeb package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep apt-setup-udeb *
You will get with apt-setup-udeb package name, version, architecture and description in a table
